TREO Cares Relief Fund

TREO Cares
was established to provide financial assistance to ASMBS members and their communities in the aftermath of a natural disaster. There are two types of funding available, both requiring an active ASMBS member as the requester:

  • Individual Support: Up to $1,000 to assist members personally affected by a disaster.
  • Community Assistance Fund: Up to $2,500 to aid broader recovery efforts within member communities.

A disaster is defined as a sudden, catastrophic event causing significant harm to people, property, infrastructure, or the environment. This can include natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, and wildfires, as well as human-made incidents like industrial accidents, chemical spills, or conflicts. Disasters often exceed the ability of affected communities to recover without external assistance, leading to loss of life, injury, economic hardship, and long-term disruptions to daily life.

Mental Health Following a Disaster

The financial ramifications of a disaster on communities and individuals can be daunting, but let’s not lose sight of the emotional and mental toll it can also have. Because emotional health and well-being are crucial to overall health, our ASMBS Integrated Behavioral Health Community stands ready to help by sharing their expertise and resources.
